A hollow rotor 10 is provided, with its axis A of rotation vertical that forms inside it a sealed chamber 11 for centrifuging the product; in the chamber 11 is placed a number of conical discs 12, parallel to each other, coaxial and attached to the rotor 10, working together to separate the phases of the product; the rotor 10 and the conical discs 12 are caused to rotate about the axis A of the rotor 10 at a suitable speed to produce the desired separation of the phases of the product by centrifugal action; the centrifuging chamber 11 is bounded to the side, in the region of maximum diameter, by a circular conical surface 32, with its generatrix directed towards the outside and towards the base, uniting at the bottom with the lower surface of the base 33 of the said chamber and lying totally horizontal; the rotor 10 has discharge apertures 40 for the heaviest phase located in the region of the joint between the said circular conical surface 32 and the said lower surface of the base 35.
