The supporting body made in accordance with the inventive method of the present invention comprises a continuous drainage system 8 placed in contact with the entire ditch or trench 2 in which the supporting body 1 is to be made, embankment walls 5 resting on the bottom or carpet 3 of the drainage system 8 and each against a respective wing or wall 6 of the said drainage system 8, a collecting tank 9 situated at a height below the lowest height of the drainage system 8 and communicating with the latter, and means 10 for automatically emptying the collecting tank 9, so that the supporting body 1 restores the piezometric curve of the land instead of interrupting it and "floating" in the land.
