Incubator for cell cultures to be used in a chamber shielded by electromagnetic waves and for studies on electromagnetism, consisting of a container and means able to create and maintain, inside it, a controlled atmosphere. Said container has the structure of a prismatic body 1 and a hermetically sealed cover element 2 on said body structure 1. The aforesaid means comprise a coil 15 in the body structure 1, having connections 19, 20 to the remaining portion of a temperature conditioning circuit; and a multiplicity of openings in the cover element 2, including at least one connection opening 9 to a feeder of gas inside the container, an opening 12 to accommodate a safety valve 11, and an opening 13 for insertion of instruments. Every part of the container and of said means is of "nonmagnetic" material. IMAGE
