The procedure for the immobilization of stationary phases in the manufacture of capillary columns for chromatography is an additional step in the general manufacturing process consisting of promoting a polymerization reaction in the liquid stationary phase (cross-linking) and/or the reaction of the stationary phase itself with the wall of the capillary tube (phase-wall chemical bond). This process brings significant advantages and improves the analytical quality of the columns.
