CAPPING OF ANIONIC POLYMERS WITH OXETANES OF ANIONIC POLYMERS

The living anionic polymer of the unsaturated monomer is conveniently capped with oxetane or alkyl substituted oxetane to provide a terminal primary hydroxyl group. Hydroxyl capped polymers are useful for the preparation of coatings, sealants, binders, and block copolymers with polyesters, polyamides, and polycarbonates.
