The present invention relates to a novel parotiditis vaccine consisting of homologous pure isolates derived from the parotiditis virus Jeryl-Lynn strain. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the vaccine produces higher serum conversion and flavor titers than known commercial vaccines.
