FIELD: analytical biochemistry. SUBSTANCE: analyzed sample of blood or urine is incubated with picric acid firstly in alkaline medium for 20 min followed by measurement of reaction mixture optical density. Then mixture is acidified with buffer solution glycine-HCl up to pH = 3.5-5.0, incubated for 25 min and optical density of reaction mixture is measured again. 3.2 M buffer glycine-HCl (pH = 2.2) is used for mixture acidifying. Creatinine concentration is calculated by optical density values difference in alkaline and acid medium. Method ensures to determine creatinine concentration at the range 25-900 mcmole/l at precision less 5%. EFFECT: simplified method, increased precision. 1 dwg, 3 ex
