FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: to obtain optimum characteristics of friction mechanical systems natural vibration. Frequencies and shape of vibrations of desired mechanical system without friction unit are determined. Then natural characteristics of friction contact of desired friction unit, consisting of specimen 11 and 12 (friction contact rigidity, friction factor and its statistic characteristics, wear resistance of friction pairs) are determined and natural tribospectral characteristics of friction contact are found, i.e. coefficients of vibration transmission of friction unit, and area of amplitude - frequency characteristics. Gain-phase characteristic of friction unit contact is used as analog of friction factor. Then parameters of full-scale mechanical system are investigated on physical model of desired mechanical system by connecting physical model of friction unit to physical model of mechanical system in form of equivalent shaft or by simulating action of mechanical system onto friction unit by spectrum of vibrations through electromagnetic radiators. Then optimization of parameters of mechanical friction system (provision of designed value of friction factor and its stability, maximum wear resistance, prevention of friction self-sustained vibrations) is carried out by selecting friction pairs and correcting parameters of mechanical system of by changing amplitudes and spectrum of electromagnetic action.
