Multiple system wave energy converter for electricity generation

A floating/submersible structure (1) for converting wave motion into electrical energy incorporates three independent systems of conversion using water movement as the motivating force. A converted ship's hull or similar vessel flexibly anchored (16) to the seabed uses wave energy striking the variable angle ramps (2) to fill a series of tanks (3) each of which provides an intake to a vertical low-pressure water turbine (9) with discharge via the ports (13). A second system employs internal oscillating columns of water (not shown) to alternately compress/rarefy atmospheric air for driving air turbines (not shown) and water pressure variations are the source of the third form of energy conversion via large piezo-electric linings of flexible chambers (not shown).
