The pref. horizontal nozzle slot, extrudes thick plastic foam strands. The thickness of the extruded foam strand should be no greater than forty slot widths. Several such slots may be stacked, and fed by a common extrusion machine. The horizontal slots (10, 15, 20, 25) may have vertical recesses (11, 12, 16, 17, 21, 22, 26). These vertical recesses are slots or rounded shapes; on stacked slots (10, 15) they intermesh like combs or teeth.
