PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform smooth and sure seedling planting work without replenishing a seedling mat. ;SOLUTION: A core roll having an axis directed in lateral direction is rotatably placed with a stay on a seedling holding table and a continuous seedling mat is wound on the outer circumference of the core roll to enable the delivery of the seedling mat from the core roll to the seedling holding table. A plurality of flotation preventing members to prevent the flotation of the seedling mat are placed under the seedling holding table interposing gaps in lateral direction. The flotation preventing members are placed at the right and left side edges interposing at least a gap having a width equal to the plural equal division of the width of the seedling mat of each row. The vertical distance along the upper face of the seedling holding table is made to be nearly equal to the lateral width of the seedling mat of each row.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
