CULTURING USING SINTERED METALLIC ELEMENT AND CULTURE APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of feeding and dispersing a large volume of oxygen required for culturing, etc., of an aerobic microorganism in fine bubbles into a liquid by specifying the pressure loss of a sintered metallic element for feeding a gas containing the oxygen as the bubbles. ;SOLUTION: The pressure loss of a sintered metal of a hollow sintered metallic element 2 formed into an annular shape is regulated to 20-2000mmH₂O and the metallic element is placed in the lower part under of a culture vessel 6. A gas containing oxygen is then fed from an aeration pipe 8 into the culture vessel 6. This apparatus for culturing is further equipped with a stirring shaft 9 of a stirring means 7 passed through the center of the sintered metallic element 2 and flat spring turbine blades 12 can be rotated in the direction of an arrow to stir a culture solution in the culture vessel 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
