PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form the distribution of refractive index for long wavelength light by using a light-absorbing agent which absorbs long wavelength light, a compd. having unsatd. ethylene groups as a polymerizable monomer and a material which can polymerize the monomer by heat, or a compd. having an epoxy group and a hardening agent to harden the compd. to constitute the material. ;SOLUTION: This material contains a light-absorbing agent which can absorb light of 1μm wavelength and at least either of a compd. having epoxy groups and a hardening agent which can harden the compd., or a polymerizable monomer having an ethylene-type unsatd. group and a polymn. initiator which can polymerize the polymerizable monomer by heat. The polymerizable monomer is a compsn. containing aromatic rings or halogens. The polymn. initiator is an azo compd. or org. peroxide. The hardening agent is a mercaptan compd. or amine compd.
