MOUNTING CONSTRUCTION OF CURTAIN WALL UNIT AND MULLION BEARING THE CURTAIN WALL UNIT AND JOINT CONSTRUCTION OF TRANSOM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reduction of the size of a mounting section to a mullion with an enlarged window opening-area, and to enable the reduction of the volume of operation. ;SOLUTION: A mounting block 42 and a bearing block are fixed to the outdoor surface 41 of a mullion 40. The lower end faces of jambs 2 of a curtain wall unit 1 are mounted on the bearing block, and joint brackets 30 fixed to the outside surfaces of the jambs 2 are mounted to the mounting block 42 with bolts. Since the jambs 2 of the curtain wall 1 are mounted to the mullion 40, the size of a mounting section such as each of the joint brackets 30 can be reduced. Since the joint brackets 30 are covered with the mullion 40, the volume of operation can be reduced because decorated material, etc., are not required to mount.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
