ADDITIONAL DAMPER COMBINING STEEL ELASTIC AND PLASTIC DAMPER WITH OIL DAMPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote reinforcing execution efficiency of damping by providing a steel elastic and plastic damper to the existing frame consisting of column, beam and brace, at the same time, mounting an oil damper together with the steel elastic and plastic damper to provide hysteretic damping, and increasing additional damping effect. ;SOLUTION: A steel elastic and plastic damper 5 of honeycomb damper, etc., is mounted to the head of a brace 9 in one plane of structure constituted of a structure and, at the same time, an oil damper 6 is installed between the damper 5 and a bracket provided to a column 7. Rigidity and strength are increased to provide hysteretic damping without applying any special reinforcement to the structure, and response damping is increased in the case of an earthquake to promote additional damping effect. The additional damper can be applied even to new construction work as well as the existing structure.
