PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repairing apparatus capable of easily performing thermal spray repairing of a furnace wall near the center of a carbonization chamber of a coke furnace from above the furnace by human power surely at the part to be repaired by locating a movable apparatus for repairing a furnace wall above the furnace and fixing it there, and to provide a method for thermal spray repairing using the apparatus. ;SOLUTION: This repairing apparatus is composed of a basement (1) which is movable and can be fixed, an expansion tower (2) placed on the basement (1) and capable of vertically expanding and contracting, an expansion arm (3) placed on the expansion tower (2), capable of expanding and contracting in a horizontal direction and rotatable, a balancer (4) detachably attached at the free side of the expansion arm (3) and a rance (5) hung from the expansion arm through the balancer (4). Using the apparatus, the rance (5) is inserted into the furnace through an inlet hole (H) formed on it and the rance (5) ejects a repairing agent toward the furnace wall in the carbonization chamber of the coke furnace to perform thermal spray repairing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
