PURPOSE: To provide a ceramic sintered compact excellent in the characteristics such as the dimensional accuracy, mechanical processability, strength and low specific gravity. ;CONSTITUTION: A ceramic sintered compact contains 20-60wt.% of quartz and 30-70wt.% of a mixture of a Ca, Al and Si double oxide, a Ca, Mg and Si double oxide and a Ca and Si double oxide. The sintered compact has open pores having diameters of 0.01-150μm. The open pores comprises ≥75vol% of the opened pores having diameters of 2-20μm, ≤20vol% of the opened pores having diameters of 2μm, and ≤10vol% of the opened pores having diameters of 20μm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
