PURPOSE:To perform measurement accurately in each measuring mode, by performing adjustment with calibrating gas at each measuring mode at the time of calibration, operating and storing calibration constant at every measuring mode, and selecting and using said calibrating constant at the time of measurement. CONSTITUTION:Before analysis is started, an NOx measuring mode or an NO measuring mode is set with a measuring-mode switching part 10. In each mode, calibrating gas of zero gas or span gas is supplied to a light emitting reaction cell 6. Then zero adjustment and span adjustment are performed. An operating part 9 independently computes a calibrating constant for each mode. The calibrating data are stored into calibrating-constant memory parts 92 and 93. The calibrating constants are selected and used in correspondence with the modes. The concentration of the NO gas or the NOx gas in sample gas is operated on the basis of the calibrating constant suitable for the measuring mode.
