The extendable built-in ironing board has a rear board part (3) (rear part) and a front board part (4) (front part) which is pivotably connected thereto by a joint (5), can be folded onto the rear part (3) into the rest position and folded away from the rear part (3) into the use position lying in the same plane as the rear part (3); the rear part (3) is supported, so as to be pivotable from the lower rest position into the upper use position, by parallel links (8) mounted on a sliding guide (6) of an extension member (7). A guiding support (11) is articulatedly arranged between the front part (4) and the sliding guide (6) and pivotably arranged with the front part (4), which guiding support forms a restraint for the rear part (3) and its parallel links (8) upon manual pivoting of the front part (4) and supports the front part (4) in a positionally fixed manner in the use position of the ironing board.
