The laminated structural material comprises a load-bearing layer and a protective covering layer. The protective covering layer is arranged on both sides of the load-bearing layer. The protective covering layer encloses the load-bearing layer on all sides. The covering layer comprises a metal foil which is an aluminium foil. The covering layer can be a laminate and comprises at least one plastics foil arranged on the metal foil.
