Device for processing air from a composting process comprises a tube leading from a heat exchange chamber (28) to a bio-filter (10) and in a closed air system with recirculation, cleaning, heat exchange and fresh air intake via a damper and air channels. The recirculating air is used for adjustment of the ventilation, oxygenation, air cleaning and heat exchange of the temperature within the process, to the temperature of the ambient air, the oxygen content in the process and to the degree of ventilation. On recirculation, a part of the water/vapour condensate and the carbon dioxide and ammonium dissolved in it is arranged firmly bound to the filter medium in the bio-filter. The bio-filter (10) has different part functions, such as compressing, condensing, filter media and additive tube. It is formed by a conical container with two chambers (5) separated by a wall (6) with a heat exchanging tube (14) in the separating wall. A chamber (4) is provided for compressing air from the process, arranged in the bottom of the container below a perforated bottom plate.
