The present invention relates to a non-intrusive system based on contactless optical methods and cross- correlation methods for signal analysis, which can be used for the simultaneous measurement of the three components of motion, velocity and acceleration of a point on the surface of a moving object; the said system consists of an optical probe within which there are special sensors of the optical reflection type; the said probe is connected, via an optical fibre cable, to light sources, to filters, to electro-optical components (some of which are used for converting the signal from optical to electric form), fitted in a separate container which also contains electronic components for processing the signals by methods of cross-correlation, integration and electronic derivation, in order to find the three components of motion, velocity and acceleration of the surface of the moving object.
