The runner (withdrawal guide) for drawers has, on each side, a load bearing rail 16 on the carcass side and at least one each of a runner 21 on the drawer side and load- transmitting running rollers, which are arranged in a carriage provided between the rails 16, 21. The runner 21 has a box-like cross section. Arranged in the end area of the runner 21 is an alignment block 1 having an entry slot 2 to accommodate the end portion of the horizontal flange 20, serving as a running track, of the load bearing rail 16. One of the two walls 5 forming and bounding the entry slot 2 in the portion facing the end region of the alignment block 1 is formed as a vertically deflectable, resilient tab having a nose-like latching projection 4 directed towards the entry slot 2. The front part of the horizontal flange 20, which is accommodated by the entry slot 2 of the alignment block 1 when the runner is pushed in, has an indentation 26 which interacts in a positive way with this latching projection 4. The indentation 26 is formed by an embossing operation, and that part of the flange 20 which has the indentation 26 is flat and flush with its underside. IMAGE
