The invention concerns antigenes isolated from nematodes in essentially pure form and which show an immunological reaction with a protective anti-serum used against nematode larvae at the skin-shedding stage from L3 to L4, the antigenes being obtained by the in vitro cultivation of nematode larvae in the L4 stage and extraction from the surplus culture. The invention also concerns a method of obtaining such antigenes and their use in the development of new anthelmintics and vaccines.
