FIELD: pulp-and-paper industry. SUBSTANCE: method of discharging exhausted cooking liquor includes introducing first portion of washing liquid into cooker to displace first portion of exhausted cooking liquor, temperature and solid material content in the former being practically the same as those in the end of cooking of the first party. The second portion of washing liquid is introduced into cooker to displace second portion of exhausted cooking liquor, temperature and solid material content in the former being essentially lower than those in exhausted cooking liquor. The two displaced portions of exhausted cooking liquor are stored separately from each other. Method is applicable for craft cellulose production in periodic mode.
