SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting ridges of different sizes for one pass of working unit for forming at least two types of constant technological tracks for advancement of caterpillar and wheel-type tractors, automobiles and other vehicles (ridges of, for instance, 140 and 90 cm size). Minimum size of ridge is selected such that during growing of plants, crown cover is formed. EFFECT: increased efficiency by forming crown cover facilitating shadowing of soil, suppression of weed growing, improved resistance of ridges to monsoon rains. 2 cl, 3 dwg
