METHOD OF ZINC EXTRACTION FROM ACID SULFATE SOLUTIONS

FIELD: zinc hydrometallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves refining acid sulfate solution from solid suspensions and impurities by addition of ferric (3+) sulfate at pH = 5.5-6.6 and the following zinc precipitation at pH = 8.5-9.0. Then zinc precipitate is condensed, filtered and heated in autoclave up to 130-170 C followed by filtration and drying. Method can be used at underground leaching and for sewage treatment.
