FIELD: catalysts for organic syntheses. SUBSTANCE: method consists in impregnating carbon carrier with aqueous solution of palladium-hydrochloric acid and sodium carbonate, reducing palladium with sodium formate with subsequent washing, drying, impregnation with sodium carbonate solution, and redrying. Novelty consists in using, as carrier, porous pyrolytic carbon in the form of hollow globules 500-5000 in size, specific surface area 75-640 sq. m/g, and average interfacial distance 3.4-3.6 . EFFECT: increased catalytic activity.
