The control circuit has a rectifier (7), supplying a rectified input voltage to a constant voltage source (9), providing a reduced voltage for the circuit electronic components and a regulating circuit with an oscillator (10), a comparator (11) and a reference value source (15), used to control an electronic switch (13), connected in series with the relay coil. The comparator is supplied with a detected electrical parameter of the relay coil for comparison with the output of the reference value source, to control the electronic switch via a clocked control voltage provided by the oscillator.
