The process for removing gaseous impurities from air (9) in closed rooms (8), comprises continuously monitoring the air. If impurities are detected, the air is sucked out of the room, compressed and then passed through a liq. which absorbs the impurities. The air is then passed back into the room. In order to remove ammonia, the air is pref. passed through water.
