The jig comprises a cross-piece (R1) which has a perpendicular tube (R2) fixed to it. The tube houses an inner tube (R3) and the two tubes are secured by a lock nut (S1). A pneumatic cylinder (P1) at the end of the inner tube is pressed onto the brake pedal via a thrust plate (B1). The jig is braced against the front of the driver's seat and is extended until the thrust plate is positioned onto the brake pedal. The lock nut is secured and pneumatic pressure is applied to the cylinder. The pneumatic pressure is applied in pulses via a control valve (Y1). This generates high pressure hydraulic pulses in the brake system to free stuck brake cylinders. The system also checks brake seals and brake lines eg. in old vehicles.
