Drill guide and stop for drilling accurate rows of holes - or guiding hand held power tools with circular saws to ensure accurately located edges

The arrangement makes use of commercial aluminium rail (3) with 5 mm wide groove along its length. A number of accurately spaced holes are drilled in the rail along its length at a pitch of 32 mm. The rail is mounted on an angle profile (1) which has a ridge (2), along one edge, which slides accurately in the groove of a guide rail. A first hole is drilled near the edge of the workpiece, in which a dowel is mounted. Subsequent holes are drilled through a drill bush (6) by moving the rail over the length of one hole pitch and placing it over the dowel pin.
