The cutting blade of a knife has a toothed cutting edge. The edge is made up of several consecutive segments in a straight line (4-6) defining a convex envelope. The blade has un=sharpened zones at the junctions of certain of the consecutive segments. The edges of the un=sharpened zones (3,7,8) are flush with the summits of the teeth.
