Tapered compacting stabiliser for a drill train working in clay

Re-compacting stabilizer (10) for mounting on a drill train in an oil shaft (2), comprising a cylindrical body (10) with at least one helical blade (11) spiralling around it, with two ends (22) and a central part (23). The outside envelope has the same diameter as the shaft. The ends and the central part of each blade are rounded so the angle of attack of the moving blade produces a radial force on the shaft wall to re-compact a shaft area of smaller diameter D' passed through by the stabilizer.
