CANCER CELL HAVING TUMORIGENICITY AND FREE FROM INFILTRATING AND METASTASIZING ABILITY, ITS PREPARATION AND SCREENING OF METASTASIS-RELATED GENE USING THE SAME CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish the subject cancer cell strain suitable for researching the difference between a signal transmission circuit for obtaining tumorigenicity and a signal transmission circuit for obtaining infiltrating and metastasizing ability by transducing a specific cancer gene into a recipient cell. ;SOLUTION: A cancer cell strain having tumorigenicity, but not having infiltrating and metastasizing ability is established by a method to transduce a cancer gene of ras family into a cell derived from BALB/C 3T3 A31, etc. A 1-1 ras 1000 cell (FERM BP-5406) is preferably used as the cancer cell. The resultant cancer cell strain is useful for screening of the resultant cancer metastasis-related gene and research of characteristics of infiltrating and metastasizing ability.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
