PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form efficiently a family tree by a method wherein a family image formed by synthesizing electronically a corresponding person image and a character attribute data of a corresponding person at each person node, is printed out. ;SOLUTION: When an image of a person constituting a family is taken in with an image scanner 11, and stored in a person image storing means 20, the stored person image is displayed on a person image window. If correction of the image is required, image correction is carried out. Further, an under side of the person displayed on the person image window is equipped with an input field for inputting by a character attribute data of that person, family designation such as parents, grandparents, etc., a family level to the person as standard, and name, the date of birth, date at death as occasion calls, etc., are inputted through a keyboard 12. Thereby, operation of an operator is sharply decreased, and efficiency for forming operation of the family tree can be improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
