CUTTING PREVENTIVE DEVICE FOR UNDERGROUND INSTALLATION IN ROAD CUTTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the damage of an underground installation by a road cutter. ;SOLUTION: In the cutting preventive device, a controller 16 for preventing cutting to a buried pipe is incorporated into the road cutter, and the controller 16 is connected through a vibration sensor 17 installed so as to be directly brought into contact with the buried pipe and a signal cable 18 at the proper site of the buried pipe. A signal input from the vibration sensor 17 is amplified by an amplifier 20, and A/D converted. The signal is input to a frequency filter 21. A frequency component corresponding to natural frequency at a time when a road surface is cut by a cutter blade is transmitted in an output signal from the frequency filter 21. The output signal from the frequency filter 21 is input to a discriminating means 26. The discriminating means 26 receives the output signal from the frequency filter 21, and control stopping the cutting of the road surface by the cutter blade is conducted at the time of a fixed value or more of the output signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
