MATERIAL FOR PREVENTING CONTAMINATION DUE TO LEGIONELLA PNEUMOPHILA OF HUMIC MATERIAL FOR 24-HOUR BATH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of anaerobic bacteria and Legionella pneumophila by a method wherein humic material wrapped with nonwoven fabrics is set in a bathtub of a 24-hour bath to reproduce an environment, in which aerobic bacteria in the bathtub can be activated without injuring the capacity of the 24-hour bath. ;SOLUTION: Natural humic material having a weight of 100-150g is wrapped with an about 5-8cm by 10-14cm nonwoven fabric of fine texture, which is set in a 24-hour bathtub in such a manner that the soil in the wrapped material is prevented from seeping out. And the natural humic material formed into soil wrapped with nonwoven fabric is put into hot water of 40°C for 10 to 50 hours, regardless of during bathing or not bathing. Thus attachment of scum and fur in the bathtub and generation of anaerobic bacteria and Legionella pneumophila can be prevented so that sanitary conditions in the bathtub can be maintained and aerobic bacteria in a device can be activated so that comfortable bathing can be provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
