PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of injection amount controlling in the state of a low pressure immediately after starting in a direct injecting gasoline engine. SOLUTION: A fuel pressure P sensed by a fuel pressure sensor is read (S1). A weighted mean Pav of the combustion pressure PS is computed (S2). In the case that the weighted mean Pav is a switching pressure ps or lower (S3), a governing valve PL of a low pressure regulator for adjusting a supplying pressure to a high pressure fuel pump is assumed to be an actual fuel pressure, and a fuel injection pulse width is corrected (S5). In the case that weighted mean Pav exceeds the switching pressure Ps (S3), the fuel injection pulse width is corrected based on the weighted mean pav (S4).
