PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase strength by improving the structure of each corner part in a circular arc shape in the rectangular expansion joint. SOLUTION: In the rectangular expansion joint 10 which is formed out of a bellows 11 where straight line parts 11a and 11b and each corner part 11c in a circular arc shape, are alternately connected in the circumferential direction so as to be formed into a shape having a rectangular inner hole in cross section, and of flanges 12 provided at both the ends in the axial direction of the bellows 11, each guiding plate 13 fixedly supported by each flange 12, is provided at the corner parts 11c of the bellows 11 along the outermost side surface in the axial direction. In this case, each guiding plate 13 is continuously formed so that from the entire area of each corner part 11c and from both ends of each corner part 11c to the straight line parts 11a and 11b, can be covered.
