PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a gypsum board wherein the manufacturing process of the gypsum board is simplified and sticking and solidifying of gypsum on machine materials in the mixing and kneading processes are eliminated and the gypsum board. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a gypsum board of papermanufacturing pulp sludge wherein gypsum dihydrate is used as a main raw material and paper-manufacturing pulp sludge is incorporated as a reinforcing material to perform semi-dry mixing and then, during or after compression molding, the mixture is held for a definite time at 120-150 deg.C under a pressure of 5-20kg/cm2 and thereafter, pressure is released and it is stood for cooling and a frame for molding wherein the gypsum dihydrate is changed into gypsum halfhydrate is processed with water as it is to mold and solidify it, and the gypsum board of paper manufacturing pulp sludge are provided.
