PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with abnormal discharge state by detecting abnormal discharge of a sample for auto-operation stop. ;SOLUTION: With a lower limit switch 21 which detects a lower limit position within movement range of a sample cell holder 5 and a passage sensor 22 which, set in discharge flow channel of sample, detects sample passage assigned, it is assumed normal when a passage sensor 22 is on (sample drop) while the lower limit switch 21 is on (discharge start), however, it is assumed abnormal (occurrence of bridge due to sample clogging) when the passage sensor 22 is off (no sample drop). With the lower limit switch 21 off (in measurement), it is assumed abnormal (sample leakage) when the passage sensor 22 is on (sample drop), and assumed normal when the passage sensor 22 is off (no sample drop).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
