PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain exhaust device, an alternating combustion furnace having the drain exhaust device and a drain exhaust method for the alternating combustion furnace capable of effectively exhausting drain generated in a flue for combustion exhaust gas upon alternating combustion of the alternating combustion furnace. SOLUTION: An alternating combustion furnace is provided with a drain exhaust device for removing drain generated by combustion exhaust gas in a combustion exhaust gas discharge pipeline system by providing the drain exhaust device 9 having exhaust gas collecting headers 7 and 8 respectively provided with U shaped pipelines 6 in the combustion exhaust gas discharge pipeline system for an the alternating combustion furnace composed of a heating furnace 1 provided with regenerative burners 2 and 3. Thus, the impeller of an exhaust fan 4 is not corroded by drain entering the combustion exhaust gas.
