PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a structure such as groyne from collapsing by constituting the structure of a flat-plate-like bottom plate and one or a plurality of wall bodies standingly provided from the bottom plate. ;SOLUTION: In this buried block 10 for a river structure, the shape and the quantity are determined according to conditions such as the scale of the structure, topography, or water flow, the size is designed so as to be buried in the structure, and it is manufactured in a manufacturing yard. Next the foundation is constructed on the ground of the installation position, and the block 10 is installed on the structure construction position so that the wall face of the wall body coincides with the designed angle in the direction traversing the water flow. When the structure such as groyne 1 is laid in the oblique direction relative to the flow of a river, it had better to use a block having auxiliary standing wall bodies, and hence movement in the lateral direction of rocks and the like can be effectively prevented. Rocks and the like are heaped on the bottom plate of the block 10 and on the adjoining zone, the block 10 is buried in the rocks and the like, and the structure of required sectional form is constructed. Hereby, movement of rocks and the like due to river flow at a flood is restrained, and the structure can be prevented from collapsing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
