PRINTED MATTER, DISTINGUISHING TOOL, FORMATION OF IMAGE, AND METHOD FOR DISTINGUISHING COPIED MATTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply distinguish an original printed matter from a copied matter by providing a background part and a plurality of distinction pattern parts of a regular shading line pattern, and making different angles of the shading line patterns of a plurality of distinction patterns. SOLUTION: Distinction pattern parts 5a-5d are formed on a printed matter 1 having a background part 9, and pattern border parts 7a-7d are formed in the periphery of the parts 5a-5d. At this time, the distinction pattern parts 5a 5b, 5c and 5d are formed in shading line patterns of 0 deg., 45 deg., 90 deg. and 135 deg. to an X axis respectively. The pattern border parts 7a-7d are formed in shading line patterns shifted by half a cycle with the same angles as the corresponding distinction pattern parts 5a-5d. When a striped distinguishing tool is placed on the printed matter 1, moire patterns are formed. On a copied matter of the printed matter 1, however, moire patterns are not formed. Accordingly, the copied matter is easily distinguishable.
