PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the solubility in a solvent for preparing an ink, the keeping stability of a coloring matter in the ink, the keeping stability of the coloring matter in a coloring material layer on a heat-sensitive transfer sheet and the keeping stability of the coloring matter in a image receiving layer on an image receiving sheet by adding a coloring matter for heat-sensitive transfer expressed by formula to the coloring material layer. ;SOLUTION: A coloring matter for heat-sensitive transfer expressed by formula [in the formula, A is a cycloalkyl group; R1, R2 are an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or a halogen atom; R3, R4 are the alkyl group, the halogen atom or -NRCOR7(R7 is a hydrogen atom or the alkyl group and an aryl group); R5, R6 are the alkyl group, an allyl group and the aryl group] is solved in a solvent or is dispersed in a microparticulate form into the solvent, together with a binder resin, to adjust an ink. This ink is applied to the surface of a support and then is dried to-form a coloring material layer on the support.
