PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sufficient differential motion restriction force by using a small and durable conical friction clutch with a big capacity. ;SOLUTION: This device is provided with a differential case 3 rotated and driven by an engine, a pinion shaft 19 rotating integrally with the differential case 3, a pinion gear 25 supported on the shaft 19 rotatably, a bevel gear type differential gear mechanism 33 having output side gears 27, 29 meshed with the gear 25, conical friction clutches 35, 37 formed between the differential case 3 and the gears 27, 29 and tightened by receiving the meshed reaction force of the gears 27, 29. Projection surface parts 47, 49 are installed on the conical surfaces 41, 45 of the clutches 35, 37 by laser hardening.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
