ADDITION OF TAR SLUDGE TO COAL TO BE CHARGED INTO COKE OVEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adding tar sludge to coal to be charged into a coke oven, enabling to produce highly strong coke in good productivity by concentrating the tar sludge separated from coal tar originated from the coke oven, crashing or pulverizing the concentrated sludge and subsequently charging the pulverized sludge into the coke oven. ;SOLUTION: This method for adding tar sludge to coal to be charged into a coke oven comprises concentrating tar sludge (c) separated from coal tar (a) generated from a coke oven 1 with a concentrating machine 4 such as a centrifugal separator so as to give a solid content concentration of ≥80%, grinding the concentrated sludge (c) into particles having a particle size up to the maximum particle diameter of 50mm with a crusher or pulverizer 5, and subsequently directly discharging the obtained tar sludge particles (h) on a coal-carrying conveyer 6 moving to the coke oven 1. The crusher or pulverizer 5 is preferably a vertical type one, and the tar sludge-discharging port is preferably disposed just on the coal-carrying conveyer 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
