TWIST PREVENTING DEVICE FOR ENDLESS WIRE ROPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wire rope from its strands being cut by preventing the wire rope from being random wound in a crane device using a single-shaft two-drum type which when hoisting up and lowering loads by means of normal and reverse rotation of the winch after the wire rope is stretched so as to keep an endless condition. ;SOLUTION: In this crane device, which uses a single-shaft two-drum type winch, a hook block 5 is suspended at the lower part of a traversing trolley 4 and untwisting tools 9 are provided in the vicinity of an equalizer sheave 7 which is fitted at the front end of the rear part of the traversing trolley 4. The twisting of the wire rope 2, which is generated during hoisting up and lowering a load 8, is untwisted by the untwisting tools 9, thus it is possible to prevent the wire rope 2 from its strands being cut.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
