LIFTING OF SCRAP STEEL MATERIAL USING ELECTROMAGNET FOR LIFTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase lifting weight of scrap steel materials which are lifted by an electromagnet, by running alternating current through a lifting electromagnet, giving vibrating electromagnetic force to the lifting electromagnet for effective use of its dead weight, crushing a space which occurs between the scrap steel materials, and penetrating the lifting electromagnet in the scrap steel materials before beginning to lift the scrap steel materials. ;SOLUTION: Before scrap steel materials 3 are lifted by a lifting electromagnet 1, alternating current is run through the lifting electromagnet 1, and the attracting force of the electromagnet 1 which works on the scrap steel materials 3 by the alternating current is pulsated. As a result, after the lifting electromagnet 1 is penetrated in the scrap steel materials 3, the scrap steel materials 3 are attracted and lifted by running a prescribed amount of current through the lifting electromagnet 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
